Factors of change

  • The consulting industry is in the process of bipolarization between "industrial" players (condemned to volume in order to "staff" average junior individuals) and "high-end" strategy or "turn around" players whose "revenue models" based on elitist prices do not allow them to be part of the long-term solution

  • A contradiction exists between the need to operate to capture credible feedback (e.g. Digital / Industry 4.0) and true independence

  • The relationship between academic actors and consulting professionals has become impoverished (i.e. "stone soup" - Quote from Collège de France)

  • Strategic reflections and associated transformations are conducted in shorter and potentially disrupted cycles (e.g. pandemic, digital) and can only be achieved by "mass" involvement of staff
